As you finalize lines for Spring 2011 and start to think about Fall, keep in mind that both consumer and corporate budgets will still be tight.  Challenge yourself to develop product with a strong value for price.   

As Fall begins to rush in, so does the fab fashions designed to inspire us to gear up for the new season.  One of my favorites fall trends is the mix of sumptuous faux furs, rich outerwear and classic pieces all combined to create one LUXE look.  Chunky knits, ruffled detailing and even streamlined tonal looks layer on top of each other to create an easy elegance that anyone can wear. 

SLEEK SOPHISTICATION WITH AN EDGE describes the Modern Minimalism trend emerging for Fall.  As consumers continue to refine values and make strategic purchase decisions, the desire for key and unique statement pieces is essential.  Black and white is always in vogue and this trend is sure to please even the most conservative consumer. Pieces are structural in nature with feminine detailing.

As we projected last year, wood tones have continued to transform from man-made dark stained espresso to lighter, more natural/rubbed hues.  These tones were seen across Europe not only at Maison & Objet, but throughout the cities in Europe.  Accented with soft linens, tonal prints and classic white, this look has broad application across all design styles. 

These genius creations have all of the allure of elegant couture, and are handmade by women in Brazil.  Delicate crochet work adorns the tabs, creating a beautifully contoured structure.  Each tab is carefully cleaned and filed by hand to ensure quality and comfort.  Because so much care is given to each piece, it can take 3 to 4 days to make just one item.  And rest assured, there is nothing cheesy about Walleska's products; each one exudes high-fashion appeal.

Based out of Dallas, Walleska is intent on changing the world.  From her use of recycled materials to employing underprivileged women, everything about this line is nothing short of fabulous.

Up and coming brand ABA features luxe suede boots, daring use of fur, and dramatic proportions.  The California-based shoe line is projected to be sold at Neiman Marcus, and hopes to launch on Zappos.com.  With a large fan-base amongst LA boutiques, ABA's uniquely crafted products are sure to spark interest across the map.  Average retail prices fall in the $299-$399 range.  Artistic attention to detail and stylish statement pieces that feel fashionable without being overly "trendy," come together in beautiful shoes that we can't wait to own.  ENJOY!
